The following are the general guidelines for the shell please take the time to read them before posting your application. Detailed rules and point/drop policies for individual events can be found in the forums.
1. Play Nice - Like all games the main aim of FFXI is to have fun but there are still a lot of A-Holes, Bigshots and Know-it-alls out there that wanna ruin the fun for everyone else so please be respectful of all members so we can all enjoy playing together. This also means dont go picking fights with other shells we may be in competition with. This sort of behaviour reflects badly on NTP as a whole and we will not condone these actions.
2. Play Fair - The main aim of NTP has always been that everything is done fairly. A lot of endgame shells have policies where the leaders and their friends get first pick on drops and take money drops for themselves. NTP does not condone his kind of practice. Everyone in NTP is equal and has to earn their drops in he same way (points/bidding) so that no one person profits from everyone elses work.
3. Dont Cheat - Thieft and Botting completely ruin the game for honest players and NTP does not condone these actions. We understand that most PC players us some harmless tools to enhance play, however use of speed & auto-claim hacks (commonly assosiated with RMT and HNMLS) is extremely unfair to honest players and NTP will kick any player found to be using them. Also any member caught stealing in our outwith LS will be kicked and their name and details of the theft wll be passed on to other LS leaders.
4. Not a HNMLS - NTP do not camp any of the big HNMs (Fafnir/Aspi/KB/KV ect..). this is for shells where people play 18 hours a day, every day. If this is the kind of thing you are looking for NTP is not the shell for you. (If you want to camp the lesser HNMs ask around in LS, other member may be interested in helping)
5. Casual play - NTP is designed so that players who dont get a lot of play time can still come along and take part in endgame events. We do not obligate anyone to attend any event, we simply ask that you come when you can.
6. Respect the officers - Our officers put in a lot of extra work so that everyone can enjoy our events and get no special treatment/priority in return. Its because of this that we ask everyone to please pay attention to and respect our officers requests/instructions during events. We do this extra work for everyone not additional profit for ourselves.
7. Dont wait for us - If there is a new event or a popped NM that you want to fight, please dont wait for the officers (who already do a lot of extra work setting up and running events) to set it up for you. There are few things on the game more annoying than someone complaining about how much they want something but have no interest in setting up a run themselves. Show some initiative, ask around in LS and find other people interested in getting the same item/event and make an effort to set things up for yourself and you will find people far more willing to help than if you moan at them to sort it for you.
8. Have fun - Remember at the end of the day its a game and games are meant to be fun. FFXI is unlike WoW and other more kiddie orientated MMORPGs in that its focused on teamwork and community so be nice to everyone an lets all play and enjoy the game together.
Thank you for taking the time out to read this. We look forward to recieving your application.
